Mmmm cupcakes

Last night my roommate and I made some cupcakes. Court got the mix while she was home in California. Not only were they real cute, but they were probably the best cupcakes I've ever eaten. In my life. No lie. Mmmm they were delicious. We had a little incident though when Blake got distracted while working the mixer and Court got too close... Mmm, butter hair.

I'm so lucky to have the great roommates that I have. They are the best. They always know when it's been a rough day and are there to give me a hug and help me out. We have late night dance parties when we need a break from studying. They pick up supplies at the grocery store when I'm out of time to go get something...I feel blessed to have them in my life. They are just too great for words. Love them!

So for all of you who do not live near to me, and because of popular demand, I'm posting some pictures of my new apartment. I'm getting used to it. And I had a roommate move in today and she seems great. The situation is definitely improving bit by bit. Anyway, here are the pictures. :)

Random bits

First random thing: I found an apartment! Yay! They are way nice and I'm excited to live there next year.

Second: I love music. And I bring this up because I'm watching the Grammy's. I heart Jennifer Hudson. And Justin Timberlake. And Carrie Underwood. And Beyoncé. I think they are all performing.

Yes.

Third: I watched "The Secret Life of Bees" last night. It is now one of my favorite movies.

Phenomenal.

Fourth: I have an obsession with Veronica Mars. If you have never seen an episode, I highly suggest you do. I wish I were as clever and witty as that teenaged P.I.

Awesome.

Apartment Hunting...

Yes. It is that time.

Apartment Hunting time.

Just ask me how I feel about Apartment Hunting.

Here's what I'll say:

Stressful.

How the HECK do you decide which place is right?

Why does it have to be so complicated?

Why do all the good places have to be so dang expensive?

Why can't you all just have private rooms and be in a social area that's not too far from campus and have good landlords and a good rate and not have year round contracts and not be a total DIVE?

This is what I've been doing this week.

Right when I think I've found the perfect place, something gets in the way.

i.e. expensive rent.

Thank goodness for ratemyapartments.com.

They've helped me narrow it down.
