That's what you get for Wakin' up in Vegas!

So, for the three day President's Day weekend, I tagged along to Vegas with a bunch of Club Style peeps. I agreed to go about three days before. I wasn't going to go, but boy am I glad I did. It was SUCH a fun weekend and we had so many things go our way (except for the speeding ticket I got on the way down... that was a definite bummer on my birthday). But once we got to Vegas all negativity was forgotten and it was fun fun fun. Friday night we got there and pulled into our hotel, The Americana 5. WAY sketch. So we started searching for something else. Col helped out a lot by calling around to the hotels. We made stops at the New York, New York, The Luxor, and the Mandalay Bay to try to find the best deal. We lucked out when we got a suite at the Mandalay Bay for $510 for the whole weekend. We fit 23 people in there so we only had to pay $28 EACH for the WHOLE weekend! Best deal ever right?! Our suite was on the 21st floor and looked right out onto the strip. It rocked. The best part? We could see the Americana across the freeway in the ghetto from our room. ha! We all laughed about that. Hard.

So Friday by the time we got settled in, it was about 1:30. We wandered over the concourse from our hotel to the Luxor and some people got food and then we had a dance party in our suite while the over 21s went clubbing. We like to party. :)
The next morning six of us got up and headed over to the discount ticket place to see what tickets we could get for a good deal. We ended up getting tickets to Cirque du Soleil's Kà (which I'll talk about later). After we got our tickets for 45% off, we went and got our seat assignments at the MGM theater, made dinner reservations at Rainforest Cafe, and wandered some stores that were right there. Then we went back to the hotel, dance partied a little more, got ready for dinner and headed out. Rainforest Cafe was delicious. After dinner the 6 of us with tickets went to our show. And oh. my. gosh. BEST. SHOW. EVER.!!!! Seriously, words can not describe how amazing it was. They thought of everything, from hand shadow puppets to a vertical battle of good vs. evil. Everything about it was incredible. The costumes, the music, the lighting, the stage that was all hydrolics so it could go any direction they so darn pleased... Amazing. Even the trailer for it here doesn't do it justice. But click on the link and watch it anyway. Maybe you'll feel motivated to go see it. It's my new goal in life to see every Cirque du Soleil. haha. Here are some clips of it I found on YouTube if you want to watch them. Just know, in person was SO much cooler!!! haha

This was one of the scenes of the bad dudes attacking the good kids. Everytime you see or hear an arrow being shot, a stick-pole-like thing would suddenly appear out of the stage, then they started swinging on them. SO cool!

This scene was the final battle between good vs. evil. It was so insane it didn't look real. It looked like a video game or something. haha. SO awesome!

Then after the show we met up with some more people and started a few dance parties along the strip, saw some of the Bellagio fountain show, and chilled by the water for a while. Way fun night.
Sunday morning we got up, packed up, and found a church to go to Sacrament meeting. After sacrament, we found a nearby buffet, ate our faces off on delicious food, then headed home. Once we got back to Provo at about 11, we didn't want to all depart yet, so we made a music video in the parking lot of the Provo Towne Center. And then we went to IHOP, where there were some good laughs had. If I can get my video to work down below, then you could see at least some of the hilarities that occurred, but it's not working at the moment. so check back later. :)
It was an amazing weekend with some amazing people. We had so much fun. I'm so glad I decided to go. And it was a great birthday weekend too!
Fun times can be had with the people of Club Style. :)
